A 35-year-old man will be extradited from New South Wales following investigations into a suspicious fire at Emerald on March 13.
The fire occurred around 7.20pm at a duplex on Glovar Street and the blaze caused significant damage to the building.
A man was arrested on Saturday in New South Wales and appeared before the Lismore Magistrates Court on Monday morning where Queensland detectives were successful in his extradition to Queensland.
The man was expected to travel with detectives to Queensland where it is expected he will be charged with two counts of arson.
It was reported last week that a man was seen running from the property shortly after the fire was noticed, and drove off in a dark-coloured Subaru Forester with NSW plates.
