Beef Australia is passionate about providing a platform: a platform for marketing, a platform for trade and market access, and a platform for sharing knowledge.
This year Beef Australia is introducing ‘Pitch in the Paddock’ supported by KPMG, a new platform for showcasing innovation and attracting investment.
Pitch in the Paddock is based on the same concept as the hit TV show, Shark Tank.
A panel of investors listen to entrepreneurs pitch ideas for a business or product they wish to develop then decide whether it is a viable business idea.
Beef Australia has always been a place where our industry comes together with a positive vibe centered around progress and growth.
This year we are giving eight entrepreneurs the opportunity to bring their idea to life in front of our panel of world-class judges, including Dr Glen Richards from Shark Tank.
Dr Richards is the founding Managing Director of Greencross and was a co-founder and Director of Mammoth Pet Holdings Pty Ltd (Petbarn) before it merged with Greencross.
The lineup also includes Ben Van Delden, Head of AgTech and Markets at KPMG Australia; Markus Kalhbetzer, CEO of the BridgeLane Group; Sarah Nolet, CEO of AgThentic; and Susan McDonald, Beef Australia Board Member and Managing Director of Super Butcher.
Leading agtech and entrepreneurial talent will pitch their innovative business ideas to beef industry stakeholders, influencers, media, and customers on Wednesday, May 9, from 2:00pm at the RSHS Sports Complex.
