Close to 130 women of the land from the NT and beyond will be treated to a premium fine dining experience at the highly regarded Tali Restaurant in Alice Springs for the NTCA Ladies Lunch which has become a highlight of the annual NTCA AGM and Conference schedule.
Ladies Lunch coordinator Allison Dakin said the conference is an extremely busy time for all delegates and that the lunch, held the day prior to the conference, gives “these women who are heavily invested in their respective station’s operations, a chance to get dressed up, and have fun with their friends”.
“Each year we have an incredibly long wait list due to the events popularity,” Ms Dakin said.
“These ladies travel a long way for the conference, so we wanted to get them off the wait list and onto the guest list; the Tali Restaurant gives us the space we need for this.”
The lunch will get underway from 12pm, with champagne and canapes being provided to guests on the deck outside the restaurant.
“This will give the ladies a chance to unwind and get into the spirit of the afternoon.”
Guests will then move inside for an alternate drop menu featuring modern Australian and Asian flavours, which the ladies will be able to observe being created in the theatrical open plan kitchen.
During lunch the ladies will hear from chief winemaker at Wynns Coonawarra Estate, Sue Hodder.
“Sue will provide the ladies with a better understanding of how to appreciate the differences in flavours and scents in a wine that constitutes a good wine. She’ll host two sessions over the course of the lunch for red and white wines respectively.”
Allison said guests will also have a chance to take home great lucky door prizes worth more than $5000 combined including two Di Croco bags donated by Ladies Lunch major sponsor the Bilba Group.
“It will be a great time for these hard working ladies to relax, eat some delicious food, and drink some fine wine, while having a ball with their friends.”
