Prospective bidders at the Rocky All Stars Elite Brahman Female Sale will be presented with a great chance to bolster their herds through the vast and varied selection of first-rate genetics available throughout the 2018 offering.
A line-up of 11 of the most well-respected Brahman stud breeding operations from across the state have assembled a 59 lot-strong lineup, with 25 exquisite Reds to go under the hammer first, followed by an exemplary selection of 34 Greys.
Elders Rural sale agent Michael Smith said he’s “very excited about the lineup” for the 2018 sale which will take place at CQLX Gracemere on Saturday, April 7, from 11am.
“In terms of overall quality and presentation, this year’s catalogue is equal to, if not better than any draft that has been put together for the sale,” Michael said.
“This invitation sale will provide bidders with a variety of dynamic and functional females that will benefit any herd.”
Returning vendors this year include Avee, Blue Water Hills Eddie, Bungarribee, Elmo, Eureka Creek, Glengarry, Halgenaes, Palmvale, Stockman, and Token.
“We’re also very happy to have Calvin and Genevieve Kelly, Bulloak Brahmans, Bowen, presenting their first draft of females at the sale this year.”
To further entice prospective bidders at the sale, all lots catalogued will be sold on an unreserved basis, ensuring there will be great value for money buying opportunities.
All females in the draft have been pre-treated to allow immediate presentation at the clearing dip to make the movement to tick-free areas as smooth as possible.
The 2017 sale saw an 89 per cent clearance achieved for a gross of $272,500 and an average of $4871, with Bungaribee Jalilah 2275 (P) from Jim and Bonnie Besley, Bungaribee Brahmans, Barmoya claiming top price honours with the Currant Family, Riverlea, Duaringa, taking her home for $18,000.
