GOBBERT Brothers’ 5161 hectare (12,747 acre) Goodooga property Byra has sold for $3.25 million. The sale price is equal to about $629/ha ($255 acre).
Offered by Stanley, Jason and Dean Gobbert, the property was bought by Geoffrey, Prue and Jason Hunt from Mallowa, NSW.
Located 130km south west of Dirranbandi on the Queensland side of the border, the country is described as predominantly alluvial plains and coolibah flood plains. More than 80 per cent of property is able to be farmed.
The sale, which was settled in mid-December, was handled by Trenton Hindman, Colliers International, and Ed Wisemental, Ray White Rural.
Gobbert Brothers are also selling two other properties: Davirton and Challoner Park. The 28,764ha (71,077 acre) aggregation includes 13,544ha (33,469 acres) of cultivation.
Davirton covers 7965ha (19,681 acres) and is located 35km north west of Hebel and 192km south west of St George.
Challoner Park covers 20,800ha (51,376 acres) and is located 120km south west of Dirranbandi.
Both well improved properties are being sold through an expressions of interest process.
