Crawford Fund Queensland forum and reception 2018
THE Crawford Fund Queensland tackled global issues surrounding agriculture, food and nutrition security, and in particular how to involve the next generation of researchers, at its annual forum at Parliament House in Brisbane.
The event heard how Australian science was helping improve and learning from agriculture in many developing countries including pineapple production in Fiji, prawn production in Vietnam and managing fire ants in Solomon Island sweet potato crops.
The event was opened by Queensland Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries Minister Mark Furner.
