RICHARD and Adele Acton’s 809 hectare (1999 acre) Central Queensland property Ambleside is on the market for $2.5 million.

The freehold property in three titles was passed in at a Ray White Rural auction in Biloela on February 8. Three parties registered to bid at the auction attended by about 45 people.

Located 43km from Biloela and 51km from Monto on the Burnett Highway, Ambleside is described as having an excellent mixture of softwood, bottletree and bauhinia scrub country. Pastures include Burnett bluegrass, buffel, bambasti, green panic and stylos.

About 400ha has previously been cultivated and returned to pasture. The country is described as ideal for leaucaena.

Improvements include a four bedroom homestead, cottage, numerous sheds and a workshop. There are also five bores, two sets of cattle yards, 13 main paddocks, three smaller paddocks and a laneway.
