A quality yarding of 325 head were offered at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday. The market was fully firm to dearer, with quality weaners selling to excellent results for vendors.

Greg Martin, Stanmore, sold quality Charbray weaners, with a line of 6 month old steers selling for $980, a line of 5 month old steers for $900 and 6 month old heifers for $800. Talbot Holdings, Benarkin, sold lines of Droughtmaster and Charolais cows and calves for $1360-$1500. Alec Parker, Delaneys Creek, sold Charbray milk tooth steers for $1150.

Brisbane Valley Protein, Coominya, sold 4-5 month old Droughtmaster calves, with steers making an impressive $700 and heifers $720. BGM Projects, Narangba, sold a line of Brahman yearling steers for $945. Alan Perry, Nambour, sold Red Brahman steers, 8 months, for $825. Graham Taylor, Nanango, sold 6 month old Droughtmaster weaners, with steers making $770 and heifers $785. MR Friedrich, Toogoolawah, sold a line of Greyman steers, 12 months, for $950.

Elroy Transport, Woodford, sold Droughtmaster steers, 12 months, for $1020. Jim Lougheed, Sandy Creek, sold 5 month old Droughtmaster calves, with steers making $755 and heifers $620.
