US COUNTRY music star Granger Smith will return to Australia this year as one of the headline acts for the free Groundwater Country Music Festival to be held on the Gold Coast in July.
The announcement of fan favourite Granger Smith and his alter ego Earl Dibbles Jnr returning to our shores comes after the pair wowed a packed out crowd at CMC Rocks last year.
He will be joined by The McClymonts, Lillie Mae and Joshua Hedley, Bill Chambers, Adam Harvey, O’Shea, Troy Kemp and Casey Barnes with more acts yet to be announced.
Groundwater Country Music Festival is held from July 27 to 29 across 10 performance stages in the Broadbeach precinct, free of charge.
Festival Director Mark Duckworth said the line-up combined the best of Australian talent from the mainstream to the fringes of our land whilst fusing them with the authentic sounds of Nashville and Texas.
While the festival is still young, Broadbeach Alliance Chief Executive Officer Jan McCormick said last year alone more than 54,000 people attended the event.
“2018 is no exception and with this fabulous line up we know it will be an incredible three days,” she said.
Fellow American country music stars Lee Bryce and Kip Moore will also return to Australia this year when they play at the Winton Way Out West Fest.
