Showcasing Australia’s best beef cattle to the world is at the core of Beef Australia’s massive event starting in May.
As such, the cattle competitions will be at the heart of the Beef Australia 2018 program.
“Early entries across all areas indicate that May 6 to 12 will be a week of healthy competition among Australia’s leading cattle and beef producers,” a Beef Australia spokesperson said.
In the Landmark Stud Cattle Competitions; Stud nominations and Junior Led Steer entries close February 2, while junior events close April 30.
Ruralco Commercial Cattle Competitions nominations close March 23 and Young Commercial Cattle Judges entries close April 27.
ANZ National Carcase Competition nominations close one month prior to intended slaughter of the entrant’s cattle. It is the entrant’s responsibility to arrange with processors the slaughter of cattle, according to Beef Australia 2018. Last slaughter date is March 31.
