THERE was excellent demand for quality lines at Shepherdson and Boyd’s very strong Toogoolawah store cattle sale.
The 1450 cattle were drawn from a large area including Nebo, Eidsvold, Monto, Goomeri, and Gin Gin as well as local areas.
The Schafferius family, Sarina, sold three decks of Brangus No.6 and No.7 steers for $1400, $1300 and $1270. Two Tons Pastoral Co, Harlin, sold Droughtmaster steers aged 20 months for $1315. Paul and Ros O’Brien, Gayndah, sold Brahman cross steers two years for $1275.
Peter Klein sold Droughtmaster cross steers aged 20 months for $1210. Diamond L Charbrays had 20 steers at $1380. Len and Pat Haynes sold Charolais cross steers 18 months for $1140. W&A Oxenford sold Angus cross steers 16 months for $1180. Gerald and Jan Ryan sold Charbray steers 10 months for $1155 and $1140. Barry Dunning sold Santa cross weaner steers for $1125. Harrison Family Trust sold Brangus cross steers for $1105 and Charolais cross for $1060.

Grieve Brothers had Charbray steer calves make $1120. Julie McKenna’s Charolais cross weaner steers sold for $1000. George Pratten sold Brangus cross steer calves for $850. Brett Turkington sold Droughtmaster cross steers eight months for $850. Tom Inch sold Charolais cross steer calves for $900 and Angus cross for $830. PTIC Brangus cows offered by Silas Holdings sold for $1200. Lines of young cows and calves sold at excellent rates. Tony and Julie Brown’s young Euro cows and calves made $1610. Droughtmaster cows and calves from Peachester sold for $1590 and $1550. Moorabool Partners sold first calf Brahman heifers with baby calves for $1360. HH6 Rural Trust sold aged Droughtmaster cows and calves for $1600 with Charolais cross for $1500 and Euro cross for $1620, Murray Grey cross cows and calves sold for $1220.

Manumbar Station sold a quality line of Angus cross heifers 8-10 months from its Thangool property for $870, $840 and $790. D&G Van Itallie, Jambin, sold Angus cross heifers 10mths for $830. Tom Inch had Charolais cross heifers 12-14mths for $980 and Santa cross for $925.
