Ann Leahy looks set to win the Warrego seat.
SITTING LNP member for Warrego, Ann Leahy, looks set to retain her seat in the state election after holding off strong campaigns from former local mayors.
With 63 per cent of the votes counted, Ms Leahy currently has 8708 votes or 48.17 per cent.
That is compared with former Maranoa mayor Robert Loughnan (KAP) who is running second with 3812 votes (21.09 per cent), just ahead of former Murweh mayor Mark O’Brien (ALP) with 3808 votes (21.07 per cent).
It is understood the Warrego seat was one of 20 electorates that had counting frozen from Saturday night due to issues with the new preference system.
