KICKING off the Christmas shopping season will be the largest sale of on-site agricultural machinery this year.
Ritchie Brothers, APAC sales director, Finlay Massey said the final auction of the year, held on November 30 at Geelong, would have over 1140 machines on offer.
“We’ve been consigning some quality machinery from both dealers and private offerings, and there are many quality pieces in there with very low mileage,” he said.
“The overall offering is the best we’ve seen for a long time and these machines are ready to drive into the paddock and get to work.”
Mr Massey said the sale would include construction, transport and mixed-purpose machines, along with agricultural equipment.
“The prime movers are looking like they will attract attention, and the big yellow iron will definitely draw the earthmoving and construction industry,” he said.
“We’ve also got excavators, tipping trailers, cranes and smaller machines that look like they will get a bit of competition from buyers.
“In the agricultural space we’ve got some really big tractors in there too.”
Mr Massey said there had been strong interest from international buyers.
“There’s a global delay in getting new equipment, particularly in the yellow iron,” he said.
