Detectives from Longreach Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating after a vehicle was stolen, crashed and abandoned in Longreach earlier this week.

Detectives from Longreach Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating after a vehicle was stolen, crashed and abandoned in Longreach earlier this week.

Preliminary investigations suggest that sometime between 5pm on November 14 and the early hours of November 15, a Nissan Pulsar was stolen from outside an address on Galah Street.

The vehicle was located crashed on Parrot Lane around 6am on November 15.

The below pictured cap was located on top of the vehicle.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the vehicle around the times mentioned or has seen someone wearing the pictured hat in the area to contact them.
