NEGOTIATIONS are continuing on Brisbane River turf farm Grassco following an expressions of interest process that closed on October 20.
Located downstream from Wivenhoe Dam, about 5km from Fernvale, the 48 hectare (118 acre) freehold property at 92 Vernor Road, Wivenhoe Pocket, is being marketed by Colliers International.
Of particular interest is the 194 megalitre allocation from the Brisbane River.
Marketing agent Ben Forrest said Grassco represented a great opportunity to acquire a productive asset either for turf, food production or lifestyle.
“This pocket of the Brisbane Valley is widely known for its dark productive alluvial soils,” Mr Forrest said. “The area is suitable to an extensive range of produce from conventional grains and forage crops to vegetables. It’s an opportunity to acquire a profitable farm with all necessary operational plant offered in addition to land and water.”
