Roma prime sale yarded a total of 498 head of cattle on Thursday, October 12.

A total yarding of 498 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s prime sale on Thursday, October 12.

Steers over 550kg sold to 300c/kg and averaged 273c, while steers in the 400-550kg sold to 276c, averaging 258c.

Derbyshire Downs Pastoral Co. Pty. Ltd., Derbyshire Downs, Augathella, sold Brahman cross steers for 277c at 616kg returning $1707. The Charolais cross cows went for 224c at 641kg returning $1437.

Enniskillen Past. Co., Mt Enniskillen, Blackall, sold Droughtmaster steers for 277c at 624kg returning $1730. The Droughtmaster cows went for 226c at 628kg returning $1422.

Abarue P/L, Euraba, Dirranbani, sold Angus cross steers for 300c at 560kg returning $1680.

Ian Brumpton Holdings Pty. Ltd., Oaklands, Roma, sold Droughtmaster cross steers for 276c at 520kg returning $1436.

Abarue Pty Ltd., Euraba, Dirranbani, sold Angus cross steers for 263c at 480kg returning $1265.

Heifers over 450kg made to 262c and averaged 245c, heifers in the 350-450kg sold to 247c, averaging 241c.

JS Grazing, Double J, Injune, sold EU accredited Angus heifers for 256c at 503kg returning $1289.

Cows over 500kg peaked at 226c and averaged 212c, while cows in the 400-500kg class topped at 221c and averaged 203c. Cows 300-400kg sold to 195c and averaged 170c.

DJ&LJ Bennet, Trent Station, sold EU accredited Brahman cows for 226c at 557kg returning $1261.

Bulls over 600kg earned to 259c and averaged 240c.
