To advertise their upcoming family fun day, this small school put together a hilarious video with local identities.

CLERMONT’S St Joseph’s primary school is one which, like most small towns, boasts an incredibly supportive and tight-knit community, but this year one fundraiser has gone above and beyond what anyone could have expected.

A video shot and edited by Sarah Cook, Etonvale, Clermont, to advertise the school’s upcoming family fun day is gaining more and more momentum – and she said it was a crazy idea that turned into something quite amazing. 

“When we were getting the event organised, we thought of this bit of a random idea to put a video together to save on advertising,” she laughed.

“We thought it we got 30 shares it would be really good. 

“It was actually my silly idea… but everyone was really happy to be a part of it.” 

The family fun day, to be held on October 21, is part of a week-long list of events in Clermont including the Beef Expo, and a Mens Health Night. 

Once the video was completed, Mrs Cook said she was amazed to see Jane and Sam Barton, Huntly Droughtmasters, come forward and offer $1 for every like or share on the video on Facebook. 

To date, the video has 832 likes, and an impressive 19,000 views.
