UPDATE: Former Roma resident Tara Pitt has just fallen short of winning Australian Survivor and half a million dollars.

The now Sunshine Coast based barrel racer and mother of three initially went on the television show to help promote her sport but has done far more than she could have imagined.

Ms Pitt couldn’t beat fellow contestant and flight attendant Jericho Malabonga to the title by convincing the jury of former contestants that she was worthy of winning $500,000.

Ms Pitt had survived 21 tribal councils and been ‘exiled’ which saw her presumably voted out only to switch teams.
