Weaner steers under 220kg topped at 388c and averaged 368c, weaner steers 220-280kg reached 388c and averaged 327c. Steers 280- 350kg reached 360c and averaged 307c, and steers 350-400kg reached 328c and averaged 281c. Feeder steers 400-550kg topping at 274c and averaging 254c. Cows and calves hit $1080/unit.
S Kidman & Co, Durham Downs, Eromanga sold Santa steers at 388c at 231kg returning $896/hd. The Santa heifers went for 320c at 215kg returning $688/hd. AJ & CJ Adams, Rostrevor, Blackall sold Murray Grey steers at 360c at 298kg returning $1075/hd. The Murray Grey heifers went for 296c at 204kg returning $605/hd.
J.E. & J.L. Creevey, Lucknow, Augathella sold Charolais steers at 342c at 240kg returning $823/hd. The Charbray heifers went for 304c at 263kg returning $802/hd.
Heifers under 220kg topped at 326c and averaged 301c, while heifers 220-280kg topped at 320c and averaged 289c. Heifers 280-350kg topped at 288c, averaging 256c. Heifers 350-450kg topped at 258c, averaging 245c.
B.L. & A.M. Rayment, Connemara, Jundah sold Droughtmaster cross heifers at 326c at 180kg returning $589/hd. Cows 300-400kg reached 198c and averaged 172c, while cows 400kg-500kg reached 217c and averaged 197c. Cows over 500kg topped at 226c, averaging 214c.
Pendine Past Co., Pendine Station, Barcaldine sold Santa cows at 224c at 668kg returning $1499/hd. Lumeah Grazing, Lumeah, Blackall sold Charolais cross cows at 222c at 649kg returning $1442/hd.
