Miles based horse trainer Bevan Johnson scooped the pool taking out Racing Queensland’s country trainer of the year award with 69.5 wins for the season.
Bevan enjoyed a healthy runners to winners strike rate of over 21 per cent and $485,000 in prizemoney.
His daughter Dakota Graham took out the country apprentice jockey of the year and the country jockey premiership with 51 wins in total.
Bevan was country Racing Queensland’s biggest supporter lining up with 327 starters on racetracks in country Queensland.

Bevan purchases tried horses and astutely places them in all corners of the state of Queensland where they can win and has had plenty of success with several ex Victorian and New South Wales cast off's putting them through their grades.
One of Bevan’s stable stars Fabs Cowboy, also took out the award for Country Queensland horse of the year with 13 wins including the Emerald Cup and the Barcaldine Labour Day Weekend Tree of Knowledge Cup and the Bundaberg cup.
This year he clocked up over 70,000 kilometres this year chasing winners all around Queensland.
Bevann and Dakota teamed up to take out the leading trainer and jockey award over the two-day Birdsville Carnival.
The premier country Queensland stable is currently on a one month tour of outback race tracks starting in Birdsville with stopovers in Bedourie, Winton, Cloncurry and Longreach.
Dakota will leaveg her father’s stable to take the next step in her career testing her self in South East Queensland
She will team up with Natalie McCall on the Sunshine Coast in coming weeks on a three month loan period.
