Charleville and district primary producers, farmers and agricultural and agribusiness operators will be among the first to experience a range of new technologies at AgKnowledge, a two-day workshop showcasing innovative agriculture and agribusiness industry related technologies.
Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges (QATC) Manager of Education and Training (State-wide), Roger Desailly said the workshop would provide the opportunity to explore a range of innovative agriculture and agribusiness technologies.
“The workshop will have a very hands-on approach, designed for attendees to try out and assess these technologies for themselves, talk to the researchers and innovators behind them and learn how they might assist overcome some of the modern challenges of managing an innovative and sustainable business,” he said.
“QATC welcomes anyone involved in primary production and related agriculture and agribusiness industries to participate in the first AgKnowledge, which will be held on 5 and 6 of October in Charleville,” said Mr Desailly.
The workshop will have a very hands-on approach, designed for attendees to try out and assess these technologies for themselves, talk to the researchers and innovators behind them and learn how they might assist overcome some of the modern challenges of managing an innovative and sustainable business.
QATC is bringing together experts in range of technologies including remote surveillance, drone operation, big data analysis of farm business management, GPS and satellite mapping, water management, artificial insemination, preg testing walk over weighing, and others.
“AgKnowledge is supported by Advance Queensland who will outline the governments innovation agenda, as well as a range of funding and grant programs accessible by regional Queenslanders.
