With a month since the last sale, numbers decreased for a yarding of 310 head of mixed quality and conditioned cattle at Tenterfield on September 11. Steers and bullocks were in short supply with insufficient numbers to provide an accurate quote.
Cows met a firm market with the best of the heavy cows reaching 218.2c, medium weights topped at 210.2c, whilst the light unconditioned cows sold to 197.2c. A small yarding of heifers topped at 275c.
In the trade section, the best of the weaner steers returned to the paddock for 343.2c, while the heifer portion topped at 280.2c also returning to the paddock. A plainer yarding of bulls sold to 255.2c.
