A GOOD sized grain property in the highly regarded Punch’s Creek district, 20km south east of Millmerran, is on the market.
Covering 604 hectare (1492 acre) in three freehold lots, Binowee will be auctioned by Elders in Pittsworth on September 21.
The property is described as a quality parcel of brigalow/belah with areas of box tree country.
A significant investment has been in agronomy. Some 3000 tonnes of manure from Beef City was recently spread on the property. Chook manure along with potash was also applied in 2012-13 as part of a fertiliser program.
About a 385ha barley crop is included in the sale. There is also about 200ha of fallow country ready for next year’s program.
Improvements include a steel machinery shed, three Sherwell silos, a lunch room, accommodation unit, and a bore.
According marketing agent Trevor Leishman, Elders, said the sale of Binowee represented presents an opportunity to purchase broadacre country with good improvements.
“Extensive fertiliser and agronomy has been implemented and to complete the picture,” Mr Leishman said.
