Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 512 head of cattle at Moreton on Tuesday. Values eased for all descriptions with all buyers in attendance, the reasons being a combination of the high Australian dollar, dry weather and a volume of meat held in storage.

Brangus cross yearling heifers account the Dennehy family, Woolmar sold for 295.2c, weighing 348kg to return $1029.  J & A Zischke, Ropeley sold Euro cross yearling heifers for 293.2c, weighing 267kg to return $782.  D Harvey, Toogoolawah sold Euro cross yearling steers for 322.2c, weighing 238kg and returning $717. 

H Smith, Quilpie sold Charolais cross pasture heifers for 286.2c, weighing 507kg to return $1452.  I Lake, Rosewood sold Brangus cross pasture steers for 306.2c, weighing 445kg to return $1362.  Euro cross feeder steers account B Varley, Marburg sold for 306.2c, weighing 435kg to return $1331.  Feeder heifers account K & L Jackson, Milora sold for 287.2c, weighing 335kg to return $962.
