The market was fully firm at the Hayes and Co Silverdale store cattle sale on August 5.

Agents Hayes and Co yarded 456 head of cattle at the Silverdale store cattle sale on August 5.  

The market was fully firm on the day.  The sale was highlighted by a wonderful line of Brangus cows and heifers account the Toohill Family.   

New travelled buyers were present from Dalby and Blackall as well as a large turn out from local buyers.

PS&EE Krause sold line of 20mth old euro cross steers for $1508 and sold lines of 16-18mth old euro cross steers making $1260.  Cec and Jan Miles of Harrisville sold lines of Charbray cross steers 18 months for $1233.  Dale Laffey sold Charbray cross steers 18 months for $1330 and sold Limousin cross steers 12 months for $955.  

Cattle from the Canungra area sold a line of Droughtmaster steers 12 months for $975. Andrew Marschke sold Limousin cross weaner steers for $925.  David Gordon of Cannon Creek sold lines of angus cross weaner steers for $900 and $800.  Sommerlad Farms sold lines of Droughtmaster cross weaner steers for $785.

D Whittred sold Droughtmaster cross weaner steers for $785.  PS&EE Krause sold lines of older euro cows with calves at foot for $1620.  Glenys Wieland sold older red Brahman cows with calves at foot for $1300 and store Brahman cows for $940 and sold a four year old black Limousin bull bred by the O’Sullivan Family at Mt Walker for $3400.

The Toohill Family sold Brangus cows and calves for $1300, empty Brangus cows for $1190 & $1140 and cows in calf for $1325. Dale Laffey sold Simmental weaner heifers for $875.  Andrew Marschke sold a line of Limousin cross weaner heifers for $810. Gary Shipperley sold a line of Santa cross weaner heifers for $695.
