The supply of stock dipped by 912 head to 4715 at Dalby on Wednesday. Buyer attendance was generally good and most were operating in a firm to dearer market.
Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed experienced strong demand. Heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 4c to 6c dearer. Cows lifted in price with most 3c to 4c better while good heavy cows averaged 11c dearer.
Medium weight yearling steers to feed made from 320c to 345c and averaged 332.1c. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 305.8c.
Grown steers in the 600-750kg range made from 287.2c to 297.2c, while grown heifers under 540kg made from 263c to 271.2c and averaged 266.6c.
Medium weight cows sold from 223.2c to 235.2c and averaged 230.7c. Bulls over 600kg averaged 265.8c. The best bull made 298.2c.
