Cattle graziers and livestock carriers have welcomed the increased opportunities available with the all-new Hino 500 Series Wide Cab range.
Vanderfield Hino dealer principal Bruce Vandersee says the Japanese manufacturer has invested significantly in the 500 Series Wide Cab models to enhance safety, driver comfort, driving performance, and the flexibility to suit almost any application for this size vehicle.
“Of particular importance to our Queensland customers is the increased GVM in Hino GH 1828/GH 1832 and GH 1835 models when used with the concessional S10 Livestock Loading,” said Mr Vandersee.
“Increasing the model range to over 50 provides our customers with an opportunity to engage in different applications. The new models incorporate innovative approaches with a high level of attention to detail.”
The Hino 500 Series Wide Cab boasts the most comprehensive active safety package of any Japanese truck in the medium duty truck category.
“In an Australian-first for this class, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is now fitted as standard across the new Wide Cab range.”
The Hino safety package also includes a night vision-enabled reverse camera, ABS, Anti Slip Regulator (ASR), UN ECE R29-rated cab strength, a driver SRS airbag, ADR84/00 Front Underrun Protection System (FUPS), Easy Start, Cruise Control and Fog Lamps.
Significant upgrades have been made to the J08E and A09C engines to enhance output and lower emissions.
“Our vehicles offer the latest engine technology with improved drivability as a result of increased peak power and a broader spread of torque across the engine Rpm,” said Mr Vandersee.
“Transmission options include six speed Allison automatic transmissions available across the range, or a six or nine speed synchromesh manual dependent upon the model selected.”
The 500 Series Wide Cab includes a host of features inside the cab to assist driver comfort and reduce driver fatigue, including tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, ISRI drivers air suspended seat with integrated seatbelt, cruise control, and a new instrument panel.
“Another key benefit for our customers is the air ride passenger seat which provides a new level of comfort for the passenger,” he said.
On the exterior there is a more aggressive look with new grille and front, new staircase design entry/exit steps, the next level chassis design and a range of suspension options.
Every Hino truck is also supported by Hino Advantage – a suite of innovative business building solutions that can reduce costs and improve operational efficiency for the customer.
