THE roar of the crowd cheering on the horses and jockeys was loud and clear during every race at Beaudesert Cup day on June 24.
Hundreds of guests spent their afternoon at Beaudesert Race Club for the biggest racing event on the calendar and to show support to the club.
The day marked the first racing event in town since the aftermath of ex-Cyclone Debbie which left damage and debris in its wake.
Guests were eager to watch the seven races on the program as a crowd gathered near the railing as the main race – Haymans Electrical Beaudesert Cup – began.
The Beaudesert Cup trophy was awarded to Monster of Energy horse, Brisbane trainer Brian Smith and jockey Chris Whiteley.
There was an array of colour and style on show as men wore their best suits and ties while women wore their finest dresses and fascinators to compete in the Fashion on the Fields title.
Fashion on the Field winners were Annie Steinorth, Catherine Cahill and David McTaggart.
