BARTHOLOMEW and Co reported a firm to dearer market for all descriptions at the Beaudesert store sale on Saturday. Weaner steers were again in very strong demand, selling to an enthusiastic panel of buyers. Lines of quality females also sold particularly well.
Hansen Industries, Lamington, sold Braford-cross steers two years for $1500. Droughtmaster steers 18 months account Todbiz Trust, Beechmont, made $1245. Tru Investments, Beaudesert, sold Charbray weaner steers for $1100. Droughtmaster weaner steers account Michael and Cheryl Fraser, Mundoolun, made $1050. John and Donna Mounsey, Moogerah, sold Charolais-cross weaner steers for $1010.
Charolais-cross weaner steers account Mark and Diane Mylett, Cainbable sold for $1,000. San Ed Cattle Co, Anduramba, sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $1005. Santa-cross weaner steers account Mt Maroon Grazing sold for $975. Mountain View Farming, Maroon, sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $965. Mark and Vicki Binstead, Palen Creek, sold Santa-cross weaner steers for $955.
Paul and Katie Newlove, Maroon, sold Santa-cross weaner steers for $910. William Taylor, Purga, made $835 for 12 month old Charolais-cross heifers.
