The second annual Dangarfield Santa infused advantage sale continued to raise the bar for itself with a 100 per cent clearance rate through its online-only sale platform last Friday.
Conducted through AuctionsPlus, the sale attracted 702 head of cattle exhibiting quality Dangarfield genetics with most cattle on offer stemming from the renowned Taroom/Wandoan beef production region. Cattle available met a broad portion of buyer demand, ranging from feeder and backgrounder steers to heifers. The heifer sale price peaked at 325c/kg for an average weight of 368kg, returning $1198/head. Feeder steers topped at 327c/kg for 465kg bringing home $1520/head. Backgrounder steers averaged 260kg and sold for $1115 indicating a strong weaner sale season for quality lines.

The sale recorded an overall average of $1220/head for an $856,988 gross. A total of 22 registered bidders presented for the sale, while 15 guest viewers were also online in a strong representation of widespread interest in Dangarfield genetics.
Dangarfield principle Ben Adams, Kingswood, Taroom said he was thrilled to see the stud’s bloodlines attracting such strong attention and his clients being rewarded for offering a top selection of cattle.

Mr Adams said he put the sale’s success down to its unique nature.
