Queensland Country Life’s Food Heroes series will put the focus back on the beef industry at the next forum to be held at the Angus family’s Kimberley Station, Clermont, on June 6.
Blair and Josie Angus will open their home and business for the fifth Food Heroes forum, set to be jam-packed full of knowledge sharing.
Kimberley Station is home to the Angus family’s integrated beef enterprise and attendees will be treated to a first hand look at the operation during the farm tour.
The day will then feature a panel discussion with Blair Angus, Cattle Council’s David Hill, MSA’s Greg Chappell, MLA’s Lisa Sharp, and QAAFI professor Mike Gidley.
Queensland Country Life editor Penelope Arthur will moderate an interactive forum with the guest panelists which will be live streamed via queenslandcountrylife.com.au.
"As we have seen with the other forums, producers who can't make it on the day enjoy tuning into the discussion online and can even submit their own questions via Facebook for the panelists," she said.
"We'll have some of the best minds in the beef industry in the room on the day so there is bound to be plenty of discussion.
"You'd have to expect, given recent market conditions, that the mood would be very positive but there are always challenges in any industry,” Ms Arthur said.
