LOCALS and visitors raced away to the track on Saturday to enjoy Mitchell’s first race meet of 2017.
The day included a five race program, happy half hour from 12:30-1pm and a jumping castle for the kids.
The hotly contested Fashions on the Field competition was also back for another year with the 2017 prize pool valued at more than $2500.
Two race meets will be held at Mitchell this year when the Caulfield Cup weekend race day returns on October 21.
