DW & JL Sullivan, Studley, Roma, sold Santa-cross steers for 304c at 678kg returning $2063. The Angus-cross steers sold to 303c for 690kg returning at $2094.
S Kidman & Co, Glengyle Station, Birdsville, sold Santa steers for 300c at 550kg returning $1651. The Charolais-cross bulls went for 250c at 837kg returning $2095, whereas the Santa-cross bulls sold at 251c for 605kg returning a total of $1519. The Santa Mickey bulls sold for 292c at 469kg returning to $1371. And the Santa cows sold at 245c for 684kg returning a total of $1677.
John E York, Taunton, Roma, sold Santa-cross steers for 288c at 658kg returning to $1898.
Heifers over 450kg made to 280c and averaged 252c, and heifers in the 350-450kg range also sold at a top of 280c, averaging 277c. Cows over 500kg peaked at 272c and averaged 241c, while cows in the 400-500kg class topped at 259c and averaged 232c. Cows 300-400kg sold to 234c and averaged 208c.
