INJUNE police officers swapped their crime fighting skills and became drovers as a mob of cattle were moved for the Injune Golden Bit Campdraft this weekend.
The officers were called in to help direct traffic as 1002 head were walked across the Carnarvon Highway at the Westgrove Road intersection.
Senior Constable Josh Rolfe said the rare sight caught the attention of travellers who pulled up to take some happy snaps.
“The cattle showed some great road sense looking right, then left and right again before crossing the road,” he said.
The campdraft action will run from Friday through to Sunday.
Injune Police would like to remind everyone attending that police will be out on the road targeting the Fatal Five.
