AGREEMENT has been reached on the sale of the highly productive 3349 hectare (8272 acre) Roma property Nardu.
Located 45km north east of Roma on the Glen Arden Road, the very well developed beef and fodder cropping enterprise was offered by the Andrews family, who have owned the property for the past 30 years.
Nardu was initially passed in for $7.05 million at a Colliers International auction in Brisbane on April 12. However, post auction negotiations resulted in an agreed sale price at an higher, but undisclosed figure.
Almost half of the property has is able to be cultivated and is typically farmed to wheat, sorghum, oats or chickpeas. The balance of property is developed with buffel grass and has been well maintained through regular clearing and the use of a cutter bar.
Improvements include two quality, four bedroom homes with impressive views across the rural landscape, sheds and silos, cattle yards, two bores, various dams and good quality fencing.
The region surrounding Nardu has also experienced recent coal seam gas development. There is power infrastructure 2.5km away, which is said to offer future potential income opportunities.
