LONG established Queensland machinery and service dealership, Seng's Sales and Service, celebrated the opening of its Bundaberg branch last week.
The opening included an invitation to see inside the dealership, with tractors and equipment on display to be browsed, followed by a barbecue.
Seng's Sale and Service are the new AGCO dealers for Bundaberg and surrounding districts, as well as bringing with it the Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Challenger, Iseki and Valtra brand.
While Valtra may be new to Bundaberg, dealer principals Russell and Shannon Seng have been Valtra dealers for more than 14 years through their Kingaroy dealership.
Russell and Shannon have been in the agricultural industry for more than 20 years.
Russell is a qualified diesel fitter and prior to establishing his own service company in 1999 was a factory-trained service technician on a variety of other well known agricultural machinery.
Prior to working full time as financial controller and marketing for their company, Shannon spent more than 16 years in the social welfare industry.
Both Russell and Shannon grew up in Kingaroy and have a family history strongly connected to their local farming community.
“We started in business as a purely service orientated company," Russell said.
"We understood very quickly that time is money for any machine owner and operator.
"One valuable lesson we have learnt and continue to adhere to in our business practice, is knowledge is power.
"This industry requires trained professionals. People who think first, diagnose then repair.
"Customers expect minimal downtime and as such should demand their technicians have the competence to get the job done.
“While our business has grown into a multi franchise operation, our grass roots business values remain the same. We will be first and always committed to service.”
