RICHARD and Kim Murray’s 387 hectare (956 acre) Roma property Blythe Creek has sold at auction for $875,000 to Leon and Ree Price from Mount Hope, Roma.
Located in the highly regarded Mount Saltbush area, 50km from Roma and 32km from Wallumbilla, the undulating country ranges from heavy bottle tree, brigalow, belah soils to ligter sandy ironbark and box creek flats.
The marketing of Blythe Creek was handled by Rob Wildermuth from Ray White Rural, Roma. About 50 people attended the auction.
About 95 per cent of Blythe Creek is white on the vegetation map. About 80pc has been ploughed with a cutter bar and seeded with a mix of buffel, reclaimer Rhodes, digit and creeping bluegrass. The vendor has conservatively stocked this country to ensure a dense coverage of grasses.
The property is watered by a solar equipped bore and two dams. The majority of fencing is four or five barbs on steel posts in near new condition. It is divided into three paddocks which are serviced by an old set of wooden yards located in the middle of the property.
