The Corrigan family’s Autumn bull sale recorded an average of $8148 for the 88 bulls sold of the 89 offered with a modest top of $15000 recorded for Rennylea L907.
The 18-month old curve bending calving ease son of Rennylea G255 had Angus Breedplan Indexes in the top one per cent for Heavy Grain and top 5pc for Angus Breeding, Domestic, and Heavy Grass.
L907 was purchased by Sparcorp, Mansfield, Victoria, to go into their self-replacing Angus herd that they have recently changed to Rennylea bloodlines as they look to increase cow numbers.
While four bulls reached $14000 going to a variety of destinations including Tom Butler, Tumut, Balmoral Park Angus, Yea, The Glen Pastoral Company, Walwa, Vic, and J McLachlan Pty Ltd, Sale, Vic.
Craiglea Pastoral, Hobbys Yards, opperating through Bowyer & Livermore, Bathurst, purchased eight bulls for an average price of $8188 recording a top of $11500.
While Liscombe Pools Pastoral, Canowindra, reach $9000 on three occasions as they secured five bulls at $8300.
