Numbers remained close to last week’s yarding with 4008 head at Dalby on Wednesday. The usual feeder operators were in attendance and operating in a dearer market. A full panel of export processors were present, however not all were operating.
Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 5c better while the heifer portion had around a 10c/kg lift. Most of the cows penned were in the 4 score range and averaged 7c to 9c/kg dearer.
Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 367c and made to 384.2c/kg. Some large runs of heavy weight yearling steers to feed made 355.2c to average 348c. The largest numbers of medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 344c and made to 351.2c.
The best of the medium weight cows made to 260.2c to average 250.1c and a large sample of good heavy cows made to 263.2c to average 255c. Heavy bulls made 285.2c to average 261c.
