There was a small lift in supply at Dalby on Wednesday, with a yarding of 3859 and a good mix of young cattle, a relatively small selection of steers and bullocks and a good sample of cows.
All the regular buyers were in attendance and most were operating.
Medium and heavyweight yearling steers to feed improved in price by 10 to 15c/kg. A lift in the quality of heavy grown steers and bullocks saw average prices improve 13c to 14c/kg. Cow prices remained within a few cents of the previous sale.
Medium weight yearling steers to feed made from 340c and 371.2c to average 359.5c with heavy weights to 374.2c. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made from 310.2c to 335.2c and averaged 323.4c with heavy weights making to 333.2c.
Heavy grown steers made to 309.2c and averaged 298.7c. Heavy cows made from 242c to 255c and averaged 245c, back 2c. The best bull made to 352.2c.
