THE premium EU bullock fattening property Mayfield is remains on the market after it was passed in for $8.1 million at an Elders auction today.
Marketing agent Virgil Kenny said four of the eight parties that had registered to bid on the 4242 hectare (10,482 acre) GHPL property were active active during the auction in Rockhampton.
Located on Locamo Road, 32km north west of Dingo, the property is described gently undulating brigalow, blackbutt, and softwood scrub country that has been fully developed and improved with buffel and Rhodes grass and panic.
Mayfield is divided into 18 main paddocks serviced by a laneway system to centrally located yards.
The timber and steel yards have a seven way draft with a Brecken hydraulic vet crush, weigh box and calf handling facilities.
Other improvements include a comfortable four bedroom homestead, cottage, machinery shed, workshop and storage sheds. There is also a 1000m airstrip.
