VALE View, a Glen Innes district property offered for the first time in 82 years, has sold under the hammer for $1.54 million.
Located in the favoured Shannon Vale district, the 262 hectare (646 acre) property was offered by Charlie Sutton and bought by neighbour Matt Landers. Five parties registered to bid on the property.
Vale View is said to have fattened 250 steers a year or is capable of running about 150 breeding cows.
The property is well watered by Skeleton Creek and there are eight dams, including some spring fed dams.
Improvements include a well appointed three bedroom home set in established grounds, a self contained studio, lockup workshop, hayshed, two stand woolshed, machinery shed and a large set of steel cattle yards with undercover vet crush.
There are eight paddocks with established pastures with a long fertiliser history in place.
The marketing of the property was handled by Geoff and Nelllie Hayes, Ray White Rural, Glen Innes.
