The University of Queensland (UQ) has introduced an online study option for 2017 in the Bachelor of Equine Science and the Bachelor of Wildlife Science to enable external students to study at their own pace.
This new option will allow students who are unable to relocate to UQ’s Gatton Campus the option to access some of Australia’s top equine and wildlife specialists and realise their wildlife or equine career ambitions.
The online programs will assist students to develop their advanced scientific and theoretical knowledge while an intensive residential school at the Gatton campus will enhance their practical skills in animal handling while accessing the best specialist equine, wildlife and veterinary facilities in the southern hemisphere.
The Bachelor of Equine Science provides the preparation for a diverse career in the global equine industry and focuses on strategies to improve the management, performance and welfare of horses.
The Bachelor of Wildlife Science program develops the expertise to implement and evaluate wildlife management programs for captive and free-ranging wildlife to contribute to the wildlife, game and vertebrate pest management industries in Australia and abroad.
