Women from across Cape York Peninsula are invited to a rural women’s event in Weipa on Friday.
An initiative of the National Rural Women’s Coalition (NRWC), the event is free and is being held at the Weipa Caravan Park from 4pm.
Convenor Emma Jackson, Wolverton Station, said the workshop would bring together women for empowerment.
“A three-course dinner will be provided and a wide range of guest speakers, with the main aim for women to walk away feeling inspired and empowered,” Mrs Jackson said.
Beauty services will be on offer while guest speakers will talk on a range of topics.
On Saturday morning following breakfast, a nutritionist and beautician will be available for further consultations.
The NRWC provides a collaborative voice for women living in rural, remote and regional Australia.
It represents the diverse views of women helping to build a positive profile of their achievements and issues.
