GRACEMERE will host Hassalls’ next on-site auction from 10am this Wednesday, November 2, where local businessmen, tradies and farmers can expect great value prices across a range of second hand Curtis Island gear.
A fully equipped fire truck is among the smorgasbord of equipment set to go under the hammer, along with tipper and water trucks, buses, light commercial vehicles including Ford Rangers (one with on 9,300 kms!) and Nissan Navaras, a big range of compressors and light towers, Knaack toolboxes and a range of construction equipment.
Hassalls General Manager Steve Wall is expecting a big turnout after October’s auction broke sale records, with the Central Queensland community coming out in force both on-site and via webcast.
“We’re expecting another bumper auction following last month’s terrific sale, where we achieved a clearance rate of 99 per cent,” Mr Wall said.
“This sale is a great opportunity for local and online buyers to get their hands on quality gear for a fraction of the retail price, and with more than 300 lots for sale we’ve got something for everyone.”
The most unique addition to this month’s sale catalogue is a complete fire truck, which is fully equipped with a range of add-ons including lights, sirens, radios, full breathing apparatus and Jaws of Life.
“This is the first fire truck we’ve sold from the Curtis Island project, and it’s in excellent condition after being purchased brand new for the offshore Curtis Island project,” Mr Wall said.
“It’s only done 8,000 kilometres and has next to no wear on its add-ons, which include a nearly unused set of ‘Jaws of Life’.”
Hassalls have maintained continual support for local Gracemere charities and sporting clubs throughout the series of auctions, with the local Gracemere Lions Club set to benefit from the catering proceeds on the day.
President of the Gracemere Lions Club Jim Atkinson said he appreciates the fundraising opportunity Hassalls has given his team, which will raise much needed funds on the day.
“Hassalls’ Gracemere auctions are a great opportunity for us to raise funds which go directly back to the locals in and around Central Queensland,” Mr Atkinson said.
The auction is one of a series of Curtis Island LNG Project sales on behalf of NYSE-listed Liquidity Services, which has over 7,000 clients, three million registered buyers and achieves over $1 billion in sales annually.
