MINNAMURRA Pastoral Company’s Dirranbandi property Oinmurra has sold at auction for $4 million. The buyers were Jonathan and Kathy Burrell, Trafalgar, Dirranbandi, who were one of the three registered bidders in the crowd of about 40 in St George today.
Located 60km north west of Dirranbandi, 67km south west of Bollon, the 12,052 hectare (29,782 acre) freehold property is said to have consistently carried 800 to 1000 breeders plus weaners and calves. It is rated at 12,000 dry sheep equivalents.
The sale price is equal to about $331/ha ($134/acre), or based on the information provided about $333/dse.
Minnamurra Pastoral Co, which is owned by the Reid family, has more than 150,000ha of grazing and cropping land across NSW and into Southern Queensland. Minnamurra runs some 18,000 cattle, 25,000 sheep and has 5000ha of cereal crops.

Oinmurra is described as having a flat topography with a well balanced mix of abouth two-thirds red loam soils and one-third grey melon hole country. Buffel grass is very well established and there is mulga Mitchell and mulga oats in areas. There are good shade lines are in place with about 10,450ha of open, pulled grazing country. A PMAV is locked in.
Oinmurra has 11 main grazing paddocks and five holding paddocks as well as a lane way system. Water is supplies from a capped and piped artesian bore sunk in 1984, which services the homestead complex and grazing paddocks through seven tanks and 31 troughs. There are also three dams.
Improvements include a four bedroom homestead, shearing shed, quarters, sheds, and two sets of cattle yards.
