Young Beef Producers' Forum to kick off again

Local grazier Barclay Bassett is chair of the organising committee, after attending the event for the last eight years.

He said he is looking forward to hearing from successful producers and industry leaders.

Mr Bassett said he always enjoys the property tour and being able to learn about different operations. 

A big drawcard for young producers this year is a tour of highly regarded local property, Meeleebee Downs.

Owner Warrick Freeman will speak at length about management decisions they’ve made to help increase their profitability.  

The forum is pleased to welcome Kirsty McCormack, winner of this year’s Rising Champions Initiative.  

This event emphasises the importance of networking; not only meeting likeminded young people, but also being able to spend time with speakers to get the most out of the two days. Included in a full registration is a ‘meet and greet’ on Wednesday night and the TopX YBPF dinner and auction on Thursday.

Running the two days before the Roma Cup, this event attracts attendees from all across Australia. For the first time, some presentations will also be streamed live on AuctionsPlus so that those who are unable to travel do not miss out on important information.
