HASSALLS is expecting to break sale records at the Curtis Island LNG project auction in Gracemere on Wednesday (October 5).
Since November last year, Hassalls have held 17 auctions in Central Queensland featuring more than $35 million worth of second-hand gear, including light commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, demountable buildings, toolboxes, shipping containers and large mining equipment.

Hassalls general manager Steve Wall said every Curtis Island auction had achieved an average clearance rate of 98 per cent.
“Buyers are hungry for the gear we bring across from the island, and we’ve got considerably more to sell this time around, with the highest number of light commercial vehicles available to date,” Mr Wall said.
“I have no doubts that this auction will break our sale price and clearance rate records, which is fantastic news for those who turn up looking for quality gear at competitive prices.”
Mr Wall said the sale would feature an extensive range of gear.
“We have over 50 late model, low kilometre vehicles including Toyota Hilux’s and Ford Rangers, as well as trucks, semi-trailers, generators, transportable buildings, water pumps, large steel and fibreglass tanks, hand tools and toolboxes, excavator and bobcat attachments, and a large amount of surplus construction materials,” Mr Wall said.
“There will be something for everyone who turns up; we even have a fully equipped ambulance ready to go.”
Hassalls have maintained continual support for local Gracemere charities and sporting clubs throughout the series of auctions. Gracemere Lions Club is catering for Wednesday’s auction.
