Agricultural monopoly mergers sow seeds of concern

The recent news that German pharmaceutical and chemical giant Bayer AG has finally struck a $88 billion (US$66 billion) deal to buy out US global seed market leader Monsanto is one that has rightly made many Queensland farmers uneasy.
