Being a mum comes as naturally to Black Caviar as winning races, as she cares for her third foal, which was born in the Hunter Valley on Sunday morning.
The Snitzel filly is staying close to mum but co-owner Neil Werrett said everything had gone to plan.
"It is hard to believe but she is probably better at being a mum than she was on the racetrack," Werrett said.
He made to Scone just in time to see the birth from his superstar, which won all 25 her race starts, including 15 at group 1 level.
"We are making a habit of just arriving in time [for the births]. We had about an hour to spare this time," Werrett said.
"You just want to see a healthy foal and that's what we got."
Black Caviar has already had a Exceed And Excell filly, which has been named Oscietra after a type of caviar found in the Caspian Sea. She is a two-year-old but a trainer is yet to be confirmed.
The owners are retaining all the foals from Black Caviar, which had a Sebring colt last season.
A decision on which stallion she will visit this season will be made in the next couple of weeks, but it is likely she will return to Exceed And Excel, Sebring or Snitzerl.
